NAAAP Philadelphia’s past website was outdated and difficult to update. I worked as a designer and developer to migrate their site to WordPress.
After gathering requirements from each business unit, I structured the content and created a child theme using Corpo as the parent theme.
The new theme includes interactive page templates, custom post types and payment options for member sign ups and event registration.
The new site is not only easy for site administrators to update but prospective members can easily navigate through the content.
Central Club for Boys & Girls is a non-profit organization based in South Philadelphia that wanted to maintain its legacy.
As part of a class group project, I worked as Information Architect to lead the discussion regarding user experience. We created user personas, site maps, wireframes, and style tiles to present to the client.
Once approved, we began to develop the site using Bones as a theme template and BitBucket for collaboration. I created landing pages which dynamically pulled subpages on to the main page with brief descriptions and the contact page which includes a form and Google Map.
For Web Typography class, we were assigned to pick a restaurant and redesign their menu.
Because Silk City is a diner, I chose a classic Americana color scheme.
Using precise numbers for the spacing and font-size of each element and the 960 grid system, the entire menu has a vertical rhythm which can be seen with a lined background.
