Thrifting!

2013
I’ve been on a bit of a thrifting rampage lately. There’s something about old things that I love. I could probably bargain hunt and find brand new clothes for a lower price but it’s not the same as rummaging through bins, sifting through racks, looking at little trinkets and finding something truly special. The type of things that I’ll buy secondhand is way different than things I’ll buy new. I’m more willing to try different styles and wear something crazy. I could not even buy anything; I just enjoy spending time there. I’m excited to share all the things I’ve bought the past few weeks. Just note, it might not be your cup of tea.
I was looking for a festive sweater when my thrifting buddy showed me this.

It’s not really festive at all but I like the baggy, casual look it has. When I first saw it, I thought it was just okay but bought it anyway, ‘cause why not? The more I look at it though, the more I like it. I don’t know how to explain it.
I love the granny-esque look of this bag. It has a lot of compartments and a mysterious piece of Velcro inside. I’m not sure what the Velcro is for but I like that I could DIY something to put inside. We’ll see.

I discovered that if I eat lunch at my desk while doing work, I could run out and thrift for 10 minutes. I really wasn’t expecting to find anything but I found this pretty basic sweater. It cost a little more than it would at most thrift stores so I spent all of my time going back and forth on whether or not I should get it. If it was more unique I wouldn’t even give it a second thought.

So let me know what you think. There’s probably going to be a lot more thrifting posts. I have an addiction!
Dang, I went through this whole post and didn’t realize the pictures haven’t been rotated. Sorry! Will fix it later. My life sucks now and I have no time for fun times.

Wear that eagle shirt with fringes at Lolla. It is acceptable there. We will also thrift you some ‘Murican star shaped, red, white, and blue sunglasses. In addition to that, red shorts. Hahahaha.
